Enhanced version of Registry Mechanic for Windows registry cleaning, repairing and compacting for a better system performance and working speed.

The simple and very easy to use interface offers three main actions:

- Scan the registry, compact registry and optimize the system.

Scan the registry checking for empty and invalid, unused, orphaned and no sense entries left by uncomplete or incorrect program uninstall processes, misssing values and more.

It checks carefully Software locations, Registry integrity, Windows fonts, Help and resources, Shared DLLs, Startup programs, Add/Remove programs, Virtual devices, File extensions, Temporary files and Shortcuts, Custom controls, etc. All of them leave 'tracks' on the registry and some are 'forgotten' when something is changed or a program is uninstalled.

After the deep scan, it shows everything found and offers itself to repair all of them.

- Registry compacting removes empty or wasted space and gaps to improve system performance.

It first of all creates (optional) a Restore Pont for recovering the system in case of problem, Analyzes the registry, Shows the results of this scanning and then creates a backup copy, compacts it and optimize the registry.

- System Optimizer shows a complete snapshot of the system. Its easy interface allows to start the selected features or tools.

Optimization of the system. The application applies enhances and patches into the Windows registry, created just to make better the general system performance.

Defragmentation. It takes care of starting the Windows Disk Defragmenter interface to eliminate the gaps, wasted space, etc. from the Hard Disc drive.

Monitor. It shows the system operation and usage, selecting the processes, performance, drives and space and a complete system information.

Processes shows a permanently updated situation of the different processes that are active. It links to the Windows Process Manager for displaying activity and priorities.

Performance shows the real Memory and CPU usage and a graphical representation of their operation, displaying memory and CPU resources.

Drives/Space shows the true Hard Disk free and used space along with the drive capacity (size).

System information shows the complete information of the system, Computer and User Name, Operating System, Version installed, Main board identification, Processor speed, RAM memory, Number and kind of processors installed, Ports, Printers installed, Network information, etc.

The program is able to scan the whole Windows registry and display a list of the registry errors found so the user can select what to clean or repair, or let the application to automatically fix all of them. The program can create a backup copy of all the repairs made for recovering purposes.

Advantages:

  • All the help files are on Internet. Compacting the registry disables the system operation.

My version will not run on VISTA neither will PC Tools DiscSuite both of which are the latest versions. anyone out there know why.
Windows don't have a fix....
